Phyllis, age 83, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa.
Thomas James and Lorena (Hunt) Morgan welcomed baby Phyllis on March 23, 1937. She grew up an attended school in Albia.
She was joined in marriage to Donald Conner in June of 1954 and they spent 35 years together before his passing in 1989. They had four children: Danny, Cindy, Kim, and Gary.
Phyllis was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. Her interests were her cats, music, reading, camping and her specialties in cooking were homemade noodles and brownies. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her companion Ray Mosburger of Albia, children: Danny of Lovilia, Cindy (Tom) Welsh of Hamilton, and Kim (David) Stewart of Lovilia. She also has six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, baby son Gary, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held 9am-11am Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia. Funeral services will begin then at 11am. Pastor Richard Grimes will officiate.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Dept. of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
Burial will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia, Iowa
A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Foundation.
